Take a Hike with Lake Forest Open Lands!
We’re celebrating National Take-A-Hike Day on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at our beautiful Skokie River Nature Preserve. Join us to reap the myriad benefits of being outdoors and enjoy a crisp fall morning walk.
Our field educators will lead guided hikes at 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Register here for a guided hike or set off on a self-guided hike at one of our six other preserves.
See you on the trail!
There are over 13 miles of trails ready to be explored in Lake Forest Open Lands. We'll provide a guided hike with some of our expert employees with morning tours. Or you can set out on self-guided hiking at one of our other six preserves. Think global, hike local!
In a mere 120 minutes a week, you can increase your overall wellness (source); spend some of those in nature with us! Docents will be out to help you maximize your hiking enjoyment. There are many ways to get outside and be a part of National Take a Hike Day, in Lake Forest or anywhere.
