land preservation ::: nature preserves

Since its establishment in 1967, Open Lands has acquired, preserved and maintained local native landscapes including prairies, savannas, woodlands and wetlands for the benefit and enjoyment of the entire community. Open Lands maintains over 12 miles of walking trails in its six nature preserves that are open to the public year round.

The preserves can be both a wonderful place for a peaceful walk with family or friends and also important habitat for plants and animals, so please help us care for these properties by following our preserve rules and regulations.
