The future John and Jean Greene Nature Preserve

There are over 13 miles of trails ready to be explored in Lake Forest Open Lands. We'll provide a sneak peek of the future Jean and John Greene Nature Preserve at McCormick Ravine with afternoon guided tours. Or you can set out on self-guided hiking at one of our other six preserves. Think global, hike local!

In a mere 120 minutes a week, you can increase your overall wellness (source); spend some of those in nature with us! Docents will be out to help you maximize your hiking enjoyment. For those who can't join us at the future Jean and John Greene Nature Preserve @ McCormick Ravine, there are many ways to get outside and be a part of National Take a Hike Day, in Lake Forest or anywhere.
