We're sorry, but the Swinging Bridge 8K Trail Race has been cancelled for Sunday, October 15th. The Skokie River has flooded and there is 3' of standing water on the trails. More details to follow.

Enjoy a scenic run sponsored by the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Running Club in partnership with Lake Forest Open Lands. This will be a green race managed to minimize its environmental impact. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome!

This is a CARA certified race and part of the Lake County Race Series.

All proceeds benefit Lake Forest Open Lands' Center for Conservation Leadership.

Ever wonder what our Preserve looks like after the sun sets? Join our educators for a guided night hike and activities that will put your senses to the test! We will learn about the amazing adaptations of our nocturnal neighbors and then gather around a blazing campfire for s’more fun!
