   Bagpipes and Bonfire

Join us for our signature celebration of fall, Bagpipes and Bonfire. Bring your family and friends to a magical afternoon of games, food, fun, and Scottish entertainment in the prairie. The event culminates with the landing of kilted sky divers, a dramatic bagpipes procession and the giant bonfire lighting at dusk. To inquire about reservations, click here.

Fall Family Programs

  Lake County BioBlitz Wrap-Up

The BioBlitz at the Middlefork Savanna Forest Preserve was June 27 - June 28. The current tally is 1,098 unique species and data is still being processed from this intensive 24-hour species inventory. Thanks to our partner organizations, Lake County Forest Preserve District and the Wildlife Discovery Center for making the BioBlitz a success.
Keep tabs on the species tally with the BioBlitz Blog...
